ESSENTIALITIES OF TAIJIQUAN PRINCIPLE AND NEIGONG PRACTICE

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

In this book the principle of Bei Si Kou in Taijiquan is presented. Du Yuanhua, ninth generation of Zhao Bao style, introduced for the first time such concept in his book "Orthodox Instruction of Taijiquan", published in 1935. In the present book, the Bei Si Kou principle is explained through the Taiji diagram of Lai Zhide. This diagram appears to be an exact picture of the Milky Way galaxy, and the authors take recent universe science achievements, such as the existence of dark matter and dark energy in the universe, to explain the Wuji state. The book also provides explanations of the eight hand skills based on the Eight Diagrams and the Acupuncture Channels, as well as details on the training methods for Gong Fu (external and internal skills) such as "Qian Sanlian Zhuang" and "Kun Liuduan Zhuang". All this knowledge and methods are suitable to the practice of lovers of different Taijiquan styles.

Firstly the Bei Si Kou skills are illustrated in the Zhao Bao and the Wu (Yuxian) styles, and then in the Chen, Yang and other styles. In addition, a 96-movement form of the Wu (Yuxian) Style of Taijiquan is described in this book. This form was transmitted from Li Yiyu to Ge Xianzhai and then to Huo Mengkui. Master Huo kept the original exercise method, such as 360º Cloud Hands and Mandarin Duck Feet, etc. Each one of the movements of the Wu style follows Bei Si Kou and is executed according to four secret words: "Qing, Yin, Song, Fang" (Support, Draw, Relax, Emit). Since in this taijiquan the entire body stays immersed within one whole Qi (yin and yang are not separated completely), it becomes easier to improve and increase the Nei Gong through its practice.

The book is provided with photos (in English translation) that can be used by the lovers of different Taijiquan styles to incorporate the practice of the Bei Si Kou methods and improve their Nei Gong.
