TUI-SHOU
When
one begins the training of the martial aspect of tai chi chuan
(taijiquan), he learns to practice the ´´tui-shou´´,
that is, the pushing of the hands. This is a practice
which is done in pairs. The perception, sensitivity,
attention are worked. We are united to the other through the contact of
one or more points, for example, the wrist, where we should maintain constant
contact and allow ourselves to appreciate whatever changes in the force,
direction, intention, etc. The contrary is initiated with the intention
to make us depart from our centre.
